Local-first promise

Privacy

Cache Creature is designed so collecting can stay offline. Dashboard features only use data that a player chooses to sync from the mobile app.

What sync means

Your cards stay local until you upload them

The mobile app can generate, scan, browse, favorite, battle locally, import, and export cards without registration or a network connection.

When optional sync is enabled, synced card metadata may appear on the dashboard based on the card visibility selected in the app. Economy actions, auctions, shops, trades, messages, notifications, moderation, and online battles are handled by the platform so ownership and Cache balances can stay consistent.

Dashboard sign-in uses a mobile GUID quick link and, when enabled, email/password or Google authentication. Authentication is required for sensitive online actions, but it is not required for offline collecting.

Admins may hide, quarantine, or review public dashboard content that violates policy. Those actions affect platform visibility and platform actions only; they do not erase a user's offline local collection.

Data summary

What Cache Creature may collect when sync is enabled

Local-only play can stay on the device. Optional sync can upload card GUIDs, stats, traits, rarity, quality, overlays, artwork recipe metadata, set metadata, scan text or barcode format, location labels, and device identity metadata saved with a card.

Platform features can store account profile data, public handle, email/password or Google auth binding, synced card ownership, wallet ledger rows, auctions, shops, trades, battles, messages, notifications, reports, community artwork submissions, and moderation status.

Camera access is used for barcode and QR scanning. Location access is optional and used as a card-generation ingredient. Photo picker access is used only when a user chooses artwork for community artwork review.

Cache is an in-game virtual currency only and is not redeemable for real money.

Community features

Marketplace, artwork, reports, and official review

Auctions, shops, trades, online battles, messages, reports, community artwork, and official-card submissions are optional platform features. They can require sign-in because ownership, Cache balances, public visibility, and moderation decisions are managed by the server.

Community artwork approval is separate from official-card approval. A card or artwork submission becomes official only when an Admin publishes official status or assigns official release metadata.

Reports, support requests, artwork reviews, official reviews, and moderation actions are retained as platform audit records so Admin can investigate abuse, appeals, data requests, and marketplace disputes.

Admin actions can affect dashboard visibility and platform actions, but they do not delete local-only cards that never left the device.

Controls

Export, sign out, and deletion readiness

The mobile app can export and import local JSON backups. Users can keep sync disabled, sign out locally, and keep future cards offline.

The support and account/data deletion request path is Support. Use the mobile account GUID from the app Sync screen so Admin can locate synced platform data.

The public support email is help@cachecreature.com.

The canonical privacy policy URL is https://www.cachecreature.com/Privacy. Azure App Service hostnames remain available as deployment fallbacks during release testing.
